Had to go to court
My bankruptcy is continued until October 14. I had to go to court and talk to the judge about my mortgages. I signed the paperwork to reaffirm my second mortgage, but my 1st mortgage hasn’t been reaffirmed yet.
If the judge allowed the 2nd to be reaffirmed and I end up not keeping my house, I’d still have to pay the 2nd mortgage even if I didn’t have the house or the 1st mortgage anymore.
I’ve spoken to my 1st mortgage company and they say they are sending the paperwork to my attorney, but it hasn’t arrived. The attorney’s office has also called and requested paperwork, but it still hasn’t arrived. We’re not sure why. My attorney is investigating.
Until this is resolved, the judge won’t sign off on my case. I’m still under bankruptcy protection until then.
I have to go back to court on October 14.
